Inner Mongolia project

  

On the basis of a major breakthrough in the study, in Xingwang Village Togtoh County, Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia, the project team established a demonstration base of nanotechnology removing micro-pollutants in drinking water and integrated device of drinking water treatment. After the treatment, the content of arsenic, fluoride and TOC (humic acid) decreased from the original 110μg / L, 3.29mg / L and 19.75mg / L, respectively, to 2.5μg / L, 1.21mg / L and 5.55mg / L or less, up to standard of national drinking water. That the additional costs of Nano-depth treatment is 0.48 yuan / ton and daily processing amount of the entire device is up to 20 tons realize effective removal of arsenic, fluorine and humic acid in drinking water. The treated water reaches the rural drinking water standard so as to make 110 villagers in Xingwang Village, Togtoh County could drink the standard, safe and healthy water.

Water source: 180-meter-deep groundwater;

Water condition: arsenic concentration is 10 times more than the national standard, fluoride concentration 2 times, the TOC 3 times, chromaticity 50%;

The demonstration project realized a long-cherished wish of villagers, which has been very well received by the Ministry of Science, Foundation leaders, academicians and experts alike. Many news media paid highly attention on this project such as "Chinese Science News", "Anhui Daily", the Central Government Network, China Daily and Xinhua. For this purpose, CCTV specially produced a program "approaches to sciences", which has created a strong social response.
